For so long

I have not updated my blog.

Financial Engineering is a past. Generally it's good, although that silly mistake.

I decide yesterday to again refocus on world soccer. I need to plan for World Cup 2006!

Indeed, when reading (or reviewing) soccer news yesterday, I sensed a potential charm from my old friend

A New Record

What record?

This week is going to be my first week in college without attending a single class, after today's absense in PE (BREAKTHROUGH). Whoops!

Yeah I studied for a lot of hours today --- quite rare for me nowadays. Finanical Enginnering is not easy. It's not hard either.

After 20 or so minutes into The Constant Garderner, I followed my heart. I am not movie-anorexia. So, I turned to NBA (remembe I deleted the game just 2 days ago), had the Spurs as my team. The feeling is more real than a Dynasty with Fantasy Draft for I certainly know the roster better. Traded Robert Horry and Sean Marks for Andrew Bogut (Fucking Great!); Tim Duncan was not a starting all-star, or more exactly, he was not an all-star at all, same for Kobe...; Bruce Bown took the 2nd place in scoring in my team just after TD, and got an unbelievable chance to take part in the 3-point shoot out...

I believe tomorrow will be a fantastic combination of FE and NBALIVE.

NBA TIME

Right after YM's injury, Houston Rockets became the worst team in the league. On Dec 22, 2005, it was beaten by the 2nd worst team Toronto Raptors TO DEATH. FEEBLE! VULNERABLE! Now that YM may be away for as many as 6 weeks, the Rockets are way below 50%, it has less than 40% chance of making a playoff I suppose.

Following Kobe's 38 points yesterday, AI answered 38 pts, Tmac 7

Spurs again finished the back-to-back with 1-1, this time losing the first and winning the second. NY did not seem an opponent. My greatest TD had 13 pts and 4 rbs

Today...Finally...

Boy, look how hard I work! Let's move quickly, today is a bit boring after all.

Notable events include:

1. I continue to skip classes, but made a classskipping-movie-learn determination. Deadlines are coming, aren't they? And someone proposed that 3 point bet! hoho

2. Beauty arranged an expensive dinner

3. Had the honor to share something with J53 freshmen. I think I still need some improvement in speaking publicly without organized thoughts.

Two movies today:

1. North Country (not county) --- on sexul harrassment. Like someone says, this one is predictalbe, so not fit for those seeking breathtaking plots. The fighting process was harder than I thought (2 hrs movie after all), which is good. But compared to Philladelphia, the court play is too weak (maybe it's not the main thread of this movie), I think the lawyer actor should be partly responsible for this. (There's not always a Denzell Washington)

2. Election --- Fuck! I've been expecting the cantonese version for more than a month. It turns out nothing's changed! The ending is still that ridiculous! The whole story contains zero surprise! I understand Jonnie To is swithcing his style, but he surely disappointed me this time.

NBA:

Whoops! Can there be another day like this?

Kobe Bryant finished 62 points in 3 quarters!

Andrew Bogut KILLED Spurs within 0.7s!

VOTE: Which is more unbelivable?

Note: I love that pass by Kukoc. I'm sure no one anticipated it. Andrew Bogut not only made the last 2 points of the game, but last 4. He grabbed an crucial offensive rebound.

For yesterday (Dec 20, 2005)

Still need to write something for yesterday, for it was so special in many ways.

Notable events include:

1. Father came and had a brief lunch, which quickly joined my greatest memories.

2. Beauty had her 22nd birthday! Let me Happy Birthday again! We enjoyed Finding Nimo.

Finding Nimo was a great one, yet it was not new for me any more. I did, however, watched two new ones:

1. The Great Raid -- a war film, nothing outstanding or breathtaking, cannot say good, but I like the way they portait Japanese, savage and stupid, as well as the following sentences
1) [Commander encourages ready-to-go new recruits] I'm here to tell you men the latrine rumors are true. We've finally got a mission worthy of Rangers. We're going to push right through our front lines into the Japs's backyard, and rescue 500 American prisoners of war. It's going to be a rough son of a bitch. A textbook-style raid that can only succeed through speed, surprise and overwhelming firepower. That's why you've been chosen. Before you start congratulating yourselves, remember that you haven't achieved a damn thing yet. You're the best-trained, least-proved battalion in this whole army. This is your one chance to do something about it. And I mean one chance. How you acquit yourselves over the next 48 hours will determine how you are judged for the rest of your lives. Men worthy of serving this army, or an embarrassment that history and time will eventually forget. It's up to you. Now, I happen to think it's the former. That's why I'm accompanying you on this raid. There's not another group of men in this or any other army I'd sooner trust my with. You're the finest, best prepared soldiers this country's ever sent to war, and I expect you to prove it. One final thing, I wanna see every last one of you in the chapel after this formation's over. I do not want any damned atheists on this raid, and no fakers either. I want you to get down on your knees and swear before Almighty God that you'll give your lives before you let any of those prisoners die. Is that Clear? (Yes, sir!) Are you sure? (Yes, sir!)
2) [General congratulates Captain Prince] Congratulations, Captain Prince. I'm very sorry about your losses, but I want you to know you men have done a great service to your country.
Long isn't it? Short isn't it? For how many times am I excited by these words...

2. The Usual Suspects --- IMDB #15!! How could it be disappointing! But it was a little because I had heard for a million times that it's a movie with a fantastic twist. So I had this in my mind: whoever is the BOSS is normal. The police saying Keaton was the killer did not surprise me, and I expected there would be a larger twist --- then it was there. Everything within expectation. BUT I do give 100 credits for the way they present the twist. The crippled was just making stories from wall lists!! And doing this he makes hard to distinguish fact from fiction. I really love this arrangement very much. I never saw, can never forsee such a way.

About NBA, Chauncey Billups shot 3 buzzer, finally made 1 in OT2 and Detroit got another win, big heart Billups! Look forward to seeing you on Christmas

Awfully Ugly...

I think I need some photos as decoration.

Starting piece

This very first piece was supposed to be posted last night, if not the network failure.

[Dec 20, 23:45]
Oh, shit, the network disconnects again. It always goes crazy at night, but tonight it's coming a bit too early, isn't it? Just before I am to start running my space.

OK, no problem, a notepad will do, temporarily. Dec 20 is such a good day to start my blog. Don't miss it, Frank.

Why good? Because it's my beauty's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Applause...)

Let's get to the point. Why start this personal space and how do I call it? Well, like I said to my beauty, I'd like to start a blog, which is a fashionable stuff i hardly touched, because I want to give myself a chance to think, and especially what do I think about a movie, what do I think about a basketball game I watched this morning, what are the things that need to be noted down so that I can look back in a year's time? Because if I don't think about it, the value of these movies, these games will simply be the fun when I'm watching them -- it should be more. And I myself, as a movie fan, basketball fan, could make a history through these notes. You don't understand what I'm talking about? Then keep reading.

And sure basketball games and movies are not the only subject of my thinking. Any fresh, interesting idea I've come up with in the day, any cool sentences that hit my brain, will have the honor to join my family called "Cool Down, Cool Think". (Applause...)

Apart from that, any event that I think worthy of remembering in a year's time is going to the same honor. Congratulations! (Applause...)

Hey my dear reader may have a question, when did our lovely Frank turn English? Pretty sorry if it makes you uncomfortable and trust me, I'm the kind of person who very much hates guys with an English tone in Chinese crowds, or put it simply, I, just as you do, hate boasters. But this is my space, and I'm taking it as a golden opportunity to practise my English! Yes! I need to practise as much as possible, listen, speack, read, and WRITE! Boy, I'm joining Morgan Stanly next year, real estate team! I don't want Calvin to pull my tail any more...
